Today companies see sustainability as a priority and put sustainability issues high on their agenda. But few know how sustainability should be measured and evidenced to have the best effect. Further the ambitions and previously voluntarily reporting standards such as Science Based Targets, Greenhouse Gasses (GHG) protocol and others are becoming more and more mandatory in the EU transition into the “EU-Green Deal”.
Understand your tech impact
Organizations struggle to understand the sustainability impact of their tech when it comes to internal usage and behavior. Usually, companies find tech to be the largest part of Scope 3 climate impact and one of the largest parts of the WEEE (electronic waste reporting).
It is therefore important for companies to find a long-term strategy to reach their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) targets and goals, and to minimize the carbon footprints of the organization. By understanding the impact the tech devices have on the environment; companies have a good starting point to build on.
